Children’s Life Skills Clinic |
This clinic provides services to children and their families. Children who may benefit from the service include those who:
- Have difficulties at school in areas such as handwriting, reading or other academic tasks, difficulties with completing tasks, concentrating and working independently
- Have difficulties with social skills, self esteem and behaviour
- Have difficulties with daily life tasks including self care, time management and organisation.
- Have difficulties with general development or school readiness
The clinic offers services including:
- Individual assessment
- Individual or group therapy
- School visits
- School –based programs
- Combined speech therapy and occupational therapy (SPOT)

ACCESS AND PARKING:
All clients are able to access both disabled and non-disabled parking on-site at no cost. The clinic provides parking slips and maps through the mail upon booking. Non-disabled parks are within a few minutes walk of the Therapies Building, while disabled parking is within direct access on the 1st level of the Therapies Building.
COSTS:
The Clinics operate on a cost-recovery basis. Further information about costs can be obtained by phoning the clinics receptionist on 3365 2389.
STAFF:
The clinic is staffed by experienced paediatric occupational therapists. Services are provided by occupational therapy students under close supervision from these therapists.

Upper Limb Hypertonicity clinic |
This clinic provides services to children and adults with increased tone (tightness) in their arms and hands due to cerebral palsy, head injury or stroke. Services provided by the clinic include:
- Assessment
- Therapy and home programs
- Splinting
- Plaster Casting
- Referral and follow up from Botulinum toxin injections or surgery.
