Prof Gonzalez Rothi from the University of Florida is a leading authority on adult neurogenic communication disorders and their treatment. She has published 2 books, over 55 chapters, and approximately 145 refereed journal articles and has obtained numerous NIH and VA grants. As Program Director of the Brain Rehabilitation Research Center, Veteran’s Affairs, Florida, she is leading the international effort to translate research from the neurosciences into rehabilitation of communication disorders. Her research relates to the rehabilitation of voice, speech, language and swallowing disorders from stroke, traumatic brain injury and progressive neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and dementia.
