Awards for Dr Pauline Watter and Ms Melinda Franettovich

Pauline won the very prestigious and hotly contested 'Yvonne Burns Award for contribution to Paediatric Physiotherapy' awarded by the national paediatric association. This award is conferred by peers for excellence in clinical practice, exceptional leadership leading to improved health outcomes for children and their families, commitment to conveying information to a broader audience and commitment to the paediatric physiotherapy profession through advocacy, tertiary education and/or mentoring of peers and trainees.

Melinda, a soon to submit PhD candidate, presented brilliantly to be awarded a clear winner in the Sports Physiotherapy Association conference in Sydney a few days ago. There was some very good competition from the PhD groups in other universities, but the rigour of Mel's work and exceptional presentation skills won out!

Exceptionally well done and deserved!
