Achievements
SHRS is proud of its outstanding results in key performance indicators set by the University of Queensland as a major internal initiative in 2008.

The School Based Performance Framework (SBPF) has been developed as a way of tracking UQ’s progress towards achieving its strategic objectives. It also helps schools to focus on plans and resource allocations, and assess performance across the domains (Learning, Discovery and Engagement), as well as operatives such as Excellence, Impact and Esteem. UQ set 20 key performance indicators to allow valid comparisons both within and across faculties.
Our School has performed exceptionally well on the Key Performance Indicators. The School has achieved the first rank in the University for measures that relate to the frequency and quality of academic staff publications, in particular.
Other areas of extremely high achievement (3rd in the University) and in some cases, first in the Faculty of Health Sciences, relate to our overall student satisfaction with the courses we deliver, and the high number of students in postgraduate coursework.
We achieved 6th rating for the percentage of graduates in full-time employment, which is a very pleasing result, and demonstrates the value of choosing our School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences for the chance to obtain top rating teaching, research and graduate employment opportunities.
SHRS holds the 1st position in the University for percentage of students enrolled in postgraduate coursework programs.
Our School also has the most extensive Clinics across our disciplines within which students are able to obtain first-class clinical experience. Finally, our School’s community engagement is fostered through our Business & Community Engagement Unit. The Unit transitions research into practice, and has published a large number of programs and projects.
