The School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences administers several clinics, offering a quality service to the community.  These clinics provide students with experience in order to gain clinical competency, as well as the opportunity to experience specialised teaching and research.


AUDIOLOGY CLINIC

The Audiology Clinic delivers a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitative audiological service for children through to adults.  This comprehensive service is conducted by professional and friendly staff; committed to providing the very best in hearing assessment and audiological services.  To learn more, click here.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY CLINICS

The School of Health and Rehabilitiation Sciences offers two Occupational Therapy clinics.  The first is the Children's Life Skills Cinic, where services include helping children who have difficulties: at school in areas such as handwriting, reading or other academic tasks, difficulties with completing tasks, concentrating and working independently; with social skills, self esteem and behaviour; with daily life tasks including self care, time management and organisation; and with general development or school readiness.  The second is the Upper Limb Hypertonicity Clinic which, provides services to children and adults with increased tone (tightness) in their arms and hands due to cerebral palsy, head injury or stroke.

WORK SERVICE CLINIC

The Work Service Clinic is a unique group of skilled clinicians who work to improve injury prevention, injury management, health and wellbeing and organizational improvement within a variety of workplace environments.  To learn more about this consultancy service, click here.

PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINICS  ~ Managing Movement across the Lifespan

The diversity of physiotherapy as a profession is evident in the Division of Physiotherapy’s clinics. Applying the latest in scientific and clinical research to develop innovative evidence based practice approaches to managing movement and function the clinics offer a range of clinical services to the campus community and the general public of all ages. As a teaching and learning facility for final year and postgraduate physiotherapy students the clinics provide an environment for students to obtain clinical practical experience whilst under supervision. The clinics enable the students to perform comprehensive assessment and management of a wide variety of patient conditions under the direct supervision and guidance of qualified physiotherapists.   The clinics are committed to high standard of professionalism and quality of care and at the same time provide low-cost quality physiotherapy treatment.

SPEECH PATHOLOGY CLINIC

The Speech Pathology Clinic provides many services, including speech sound production, language, literacy, fluency and voice therapy for children.  For adults and adolescents, assistance with speech rehabilitation, language rehabilitation, fluency, voice and English as a second language (accent modification) is available.  To learn more, click here.

LITERACY FOR LIFE CLINIC
